TANKER - 91

The newest addition to the fleet is here! Oak Cliff Fire Dept. has long waited for their first brand new Tanker since the start of the department in 1982. The department has had several used or refurbished Tankers, but nothing like this. This truck was purchased jointly with Federal Grant money and money from the department. Tanker - 91 was manufactured by Pierce Mfg. in Appleton, Wisconsin. The tanker has a lot more than just good looks. It has a water capacity of 2,500 gal., a 500 gpm Hale pump, 330 hp power plant, dual rear axels, 3-side dump capability, and much more. This apparatus is going to benefit the citizens of the district, as well as the department. Having a reliable piece of equipment, that has the on-board water capacity of this apparatus, will provide OCFD FF's the ability to have large quantity of water for the initial attack of any fire. Water is something that is a huge concern in rural areas for firefighters.
