We work closely with EMSA, Guthrie EMS and Eagle Med (Air ambulance) as our primary medical transport services. The department prides itself on it's professionalism and public relations service.
We also put on various demonstrations for the citizens and extended public in the surrounding areas. Demonstrations for boyscout & girlscout groups, home owner associations, head start programs, birthday parties, churches and schools are also available. All demonstrations and Public Relations events are coordinated and put on by the OCFD Fire Prevention and Public Education Division, which can be scheduled by contacting the department.

Since October of 2006, Oak Cliff Fire Dept. has focused an immense amount of attention in it's Fire Prevention Division. Focusing mainly on the growth and structure of the division and concentrating on what needs the public has for our department. Whether it be through "public awareness, smoke detector education, family fire exit plans, etc." The OCFD Fire Prevention Division wants to make any and all efforts to reach out and embrace the citizens within the district and to make sure they are educated and safe. Our goals are to increase public safety and to educate our citizens with the mental tools they may need to prepare them for the worst. If they prepared and made aware, the chances of loosing a life greatly decreases.
Since October 2006, OCFD Fire Prevention Division has conducted many public events such as the annual "Public Safety Fair" in cooperation with the Waterloo Church of the Nazarene. We have also assisted Edmond Fire Dept. with their "Public Safety Fair" at Lowe's parking lot in Edmond. There have been several Home Owners Association meetings/picnics, Mother's Day Out programs, Childcare/daycare centers, public events, and boy/girl scout meetings that the division has taken part in.
"Smoke Detectors Save Lives!" This has been the largest focus of the OCFD Fire Prevention Divison. We strongly push and believe in the use of smoke detectors for our citizens because statics have shown worldwide that smoke dectectors save lives. It is such a small investment for something as priceless and precious as a human life. As a division, we believe that no one can put a value or price on life. So to help insure that our public has these detectors, the Oak Cliff Fire Department will provide the necessary smoke detectors for any household within our district absolutely FREE of charge for families that can not afford them. We will also arrange and schedule a time to come out and install these detectors in the proper location in a residence for those who need assistance.
