We are happy to announce that the newest addition to the fleet at the Oak Cliff Fire Dept. has finally arrived. The new "Tanker - 91" is the first brand new tanker the Oak Cliff Fire Dept. has ever received. This truck was purchased jointly with Federal Grant money and money from the department. Tanker - 91 was manufactured by Pierce Mfg. in Appleton, Wisconsin. The tanker has a lot more than just good looks. It has a water capacity of 2,500 gal., a 500 gpm Hale pump, 330 hp power plant, dual rear axels, 3-side dump capability, and much more. This apparatus is going to benefit the citizens of the district, as well as the department. Having a reliable piece of equipment, that has the on-board water capacity of this apparatus, will provide OCFD FF's the ability to have large quantity of water for the initial attack of any fire. Water is something that is a huge concern in rural areas for firefighters.
